Products for testing are sampled from the current production run or from warehouse stocks. Each product submitted for testing must be identical in form and substance with the product sold on the market. I.e. it ought to have the appropriate labelling, instruction manual and packaging (if applicable).
Exception from the above is made for large-scale products, from which smaller testing samples are taken. The size and shape of the samples are determined in such cases on an individual basis with the Product Certification Body representative.
Samples intended for testing need to be secured in such a way that protects them from mechanical damage/ loss of their physical and chemical characteristics and properties in transport and storage.
If the products need to be stored in certain conditions (temperature, humidity, stacking), then the packaging ought to contain the necessary information and symbols.
